Leeds Council planning application to
change Loading bay area at The Carriageworks into Hackney Carriage Stand.
The taxi stand will operate 6pm-8am.

Many members park in the bay, legally, after 6pm as do members of our audience - and we use the loading bay to bring scenery & props into & out of The Carriageworks. It's also used as a safe drop off area for people going into The Carriageworks at other times, but it appears that the Loading bay status will remain 8am-6pm.

Deadline for objections [to Planning NOT The Carriageworks] is before 20 November 2009
[see notice of intent/planning application details on lamp post near archway on Great George Street]
pdf copy of the notice for ref is here
Guide document/info which may help you when writing/emailing your objections

Scenic Workshop A questionaire has been sent to all societies. Please complete and return to Jan Morrell by 9 November.

These one-off training days will enable amateur artists and craftspeople to run workshops with groups of other amateurs in their chosen art or craft form. No matter what your art or craft form is (painting, dancing, multimedia, singing, music, acting, handcrafts... etc.), by attending one of these days you will gain the generic skills and confidence to deliver a simple workshop to other amateurs.
Local event:
Monday 26 October 2009 - 10am to 4.30pm
Oakwood Hall Hotel, Lady Lane, Bingley, West Yorkshire BD16 4AW
